Swinton Out of Hours and Weekend Service (ceased during covid)
There are appointments available in the evenings at Swinton Gateway from 6 pm – 8.30 pm weekday evenings and on a Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 am – 12.30 pm. Please enquire with the receptionist if you wish to access this service.
Extended Surgery Hours
The practice now offers an extra 6 hours surgery time per week outside normal practice hours which are 8.00am – 6.30pm. Please ask reception for details.
If you feel you need to be seen as an emergency, the doctor may feel that it would be more appropriate for you to dial 999 and go to hospital but if one of the partners sees you in surgery you will be given president over the other patients.
Minor Ailments Scheme – (please quote the minor ailment scheme when attending).
Salford pharmacies now provide minor ailment care for Salford patients. If you do not pay for your prescriptions, you will receive this care and treatment free of charge and will save you time in not having to attend the doctors surgery for an appointment. Please ask your local pharmacy or pick up a leaflet from the practice reception desk.
If you need assistance between 6.30pm and 8.00am calls are now directed to NHS 111. Please dial 111 (free of charge from landlines and mobiles) to speak to a representative who will take details of your condition and direct you to the most appropriate service.
The same information applies as for evenings. Please remember we are no longer routinely open on Saturday mornings except when we are offering routine appointments in extended hours. The doctors do not see emergencies or issue repeat prescriptions on a Saturday morning. Please speak to the receptionist and they can advise you when the next weekend surgery will be taking place.
